Adam Wainwright Out For Season With Achilles Injury, Nooooooooooo

WAINOOOOOOO, NOOOOOOOOO. Man what shitty news on a Sunday afternoon. Love Waino, such a good Cardinal. Real bummer. I mean I didn’t want to have to win the Division, I thought the Cubs would probably sneak into the Wild Card being so young and everything but now we sort of have no choice right? The NL Central deserves a willing participant, we’ll take it from here St. Louis, go die in the corner.  #wearegood.

This injury has brought up a huge discussion about pitchers hitting and how the NL should have the DH. I’m probably in the minority here but I love not having a DH, if you field a position you should hit. NL baseball has way more strategy in late inning situations when juggling the pitchers spot and pinch hitters but that’s just me, I guess I’m an old white sports writer when it comes to that specific rule
